HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER

Canadian Hispanic Village Housing Co-op`s purpose is to promote the interests of non-profit continuing co-operative housing and related services on a co-operative basis.

Membership is open to all individuals who are 18 or over, can meet the financial obligations, regardless of their abilities, race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, sex, family status, sexual orientation.

Applicants are required to submit completed application along with all required documents and non-refundable application fee of $75.00 through money order or bank draft payable to “CHVHC”.

Also please include the following with your application:

  1. Verification of Income (Pay Stubs) together with the most recent *Tax Assessment of the Applicant and Co-Applicant.
  2. Current Letters of Employment of the Applicant and Co-Applicant.
  3. Photocopies from one of the following: Canadian Passport, Canadian Birth Certificate, Canadian Citizenship Card, or Canadian Permanent Resident Card for all the family members.

Once this has been received the office will conduct a credit and landlord check and then the applicant will be interviewed by the Board of Directors.

Upon a successful interview, the applicant will be offered membership within our co-operative community.
